Technological advancements are very fast these days. I mean, before we exhaust the learning of features included in this device, a new one has already hit the market with newer features where most of those in the preceding version are deprecated. Of course we repeat the same thing again and the journey continues. This is the same case in the scientific arena where new revelations are made every day. Inevitably, what is generated from such quick succession of inventions is utter confusion of the consumers, a confusion that can easily be exploited by manufacturers, sellers, scammers and unscrupulous business people to make instant wealth. Are fuel-saving tablets included as a part of this? Let us see.
Boosting Engine Efficiency?
Fuel-saving tablet companies promise that using these tabs will boost your engine efficiency and improve the engine fuel economy by 20%. This sounds cool as it can see drivers saving thousands of dollars per year just by using these simple tablets. Additionally, these tabs are said to reduce exhaust emissions by levels ranging from 15-60% by ensuring more complete burning of fuel in the engine. This, among other things, means that less fuel will be unburned and wasted, and environmental pollution is reduced greatly. Everyone is looking forward to an improved environmental health!
Reduced Engine Wear and Tear?
With a more complete combustion of fuel in the engine including any impurities available, the engine cleanliness is assured and with it comes a good health. The dirt and impurities available in oil work to increase the wear and tear of the parts of your engine, reducing its performance considerably and eventually demanding for a change. In addition, these tablets promise better and longer oil health as less carbon is deposited in the engine oil. This oil will thus lubricate better and for longer.
Inviting a Little Reason
These capabilities of the tablets are amazing. But continued praise and condemnation in equal measure has left many lost-for no reason really. Some claim that they are “working miracles” on their cars while others say that it is not only a waste of money, but also, it destroyed their car fuel systems. A little usage of common sense will however help you know the correct position about these tablets-whether they really work or not- by asking yourself this question; if the tabs have this potential of magic, why haven’t fuel companies adopted their inclusion to their products to beat off competition? I mean, this would significantly increase their sales and their competitors would be easily beaten!
Verdict: Texas Attorney General in 2006 termed this as a fraud. This is just another scam.
